Chinese survey shows safety of drug eluting stents in treating heart disease

Shanghai. September 25. INTERFAX-CHINA - A survey conducted by Chinese doctors released yesterday claims that the use of drug eluting stents, or supports that prop open blocked coronary arteries and slowly release a drug to reduce the rate of re-blockage, are safe and efficient in treating coronary heart disease patients.
