Sep. 25--LAKE WYLIE -- The sixth annual Riversweep on Oct. 6 could prove to be a banner year.

"The fact that the water's down, it's going to be interesting," said C.D. Collins, board member with the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation.

As of Monday, Lake Wylie remains more than five feet below full pond, as it has for more than a month.

"Things that have not showed their ugly faces since 2002, they're there," Collins said, recalling the last time lake levels were this low because of drought.
