Sep. 25--Starting Sept. 20, the Rialto Theatre hosted three consecutive nights of concerts from stellar rock acts, capped off with a solid performance from Brit-rock sensation Arctic Monkeys.
Sept. 20, New York's Animal Collective, short a member, captivated with both new material and selections from its latest, "Strawberry Jam." The New Pornographers' excellent Sept. 21 show included local crooner Neko Case's dog wandering on and offstage throughout.
Still, neither act could boast the arsenal of crossover hits like Arctic Monkeys, who drew the largest crowd of the three nights on Sept. 22.
