With the hope of persuading businesses to invest in domestic violence prevention, State Farm Life Ins. Co. recently announced plans for the development of a corporate alliance.

The initiative, dubbed "Corporate Alliance to End Partner Violence," proposes to be an independent, not-for-profit partnership of Fortune 500 companies who will voluntarily become involved in funding and facilitating abuse prevention and educational efforts.
