"The Great Northfield Minnesota Raid" (Universal, $15)
The theatrical release of "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" has prompted this long-overdue DVD - out today - of Philip Kaufman's 1972 film about the James-Younger Gang's infamous 1876 raid on "the biggest bank west of the Mississippi." The uneven film's strongest asset is its cast, with Cliff Robertson dominating as the calculating Cole Younger and Robert Duvall riding shotgun as the wild-eyed Jesse James - even though both actors were 12 to 15 years older than their real-life counterparts.
