Steven Svastits story of survival.(16-year Recovery from Seminoma and Germ Cell Carcinoma)

Steve was born in December 1960. Around September of 1989 when he was 28 years old, he had a recurring sharp pain to his left testicle. Steve had noticed this for about six months when he put his thighs together, mostly when he was getting in and out of his car. He also felt a small hard lump on the side of the left testicle that was very tender to the touch. Steve was seen by his primary care physician (PCP) who immediately referred him to a urologist. The specialist examined him, then scheduled a biopsy for Steve at the Woodruff Community Hospital in Long Beach, CA in December of 1989.
