Sep. 26--Rodney Brown, who formerly held the top position at Montecito Bank & Trust in Santa Barbara, was recently appointed as the new president and CEO of the California Bankers Association in Sacramento.
The CBA is one of the largest state banking trade associations and represents more than 80 percent of the FDIC-insured institutions in California. Member banks in the association hold more than $4 trillion in assets combined.
Mr. Brown joined Montecito Bank & Trust in 1990 and had been its president and CFO for 12 years before his departure in September 2006.
