Sep. 27--The Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce recently recognized 13 city businesses for committing to grow here.
The Sept. 18 event at Captains Cove Seaport was the chamber's seventh annual for the Business in Bloom awards. According to the chamber, an affiliate of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council, the businesses have either expanded their investment in their city location, moved to the city or beautified their grounds.
* Mimi Dragone Inc. has been selling cars on Fairfield Avenue since 1969. The business, run by Thomas Dragone and his son, Carman, recently upgraded its site.
