Euro Digital Library comes a step closer
A central planning team has been set up to turn the European Digital Library project into a reality.
Led by director Jill Cousins, a team of 70 information professionals from across Europe will deliver a prototype early next year.
Viviane Reding, the European commissioner for information society and media, is championing the plan for the European Digital Library. She called the project an opportunity to "make the wealth of material in Europe's libraries, museums and archives accessible to all".
