Employees of SBI associate banks observe strike
New Delhi, Sep 27 (PTI) -- Employees of six associate banks of State Bank of India today went on one-day strike to oppose their proposed merger with SBI.
The strike called by All India Bank Employees' Association (AIBEA) and All India Bank Officers' Association (AIBOA) affected the transactions in around 3,000 branches of the associate banks across the country.
About 45,000 staff of all associate banks State Bank of Indore, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of Travancore, State Bank of Mysore, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur and State Bank of Hyderabad were part of the strike.
