Sep. 27--The Conservati'on Corps of I'On started simply with neighbors wondering why they saw so few blue recycling bins on Thursdays.
The meeting of the minds grew into a communitywide effort to increase conservation in their neighborhood and the Lowcountry.
A recent trash pickup drew 50 residents, and a LocalMOTION Eco-Street Fair and Dance in I'On Square planned Friday has attracted area businesses donating time or materials. Organizers like Cynthia Rosengren hope that I'On's neighbors will walk over to join in and that conservation-minded people from the Lowcountry will participate, too.
