Sep. 28--Two cases of a bacterial skin condition, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, have been confirmed at a Bedford County high school.
The students affected are females at Jefferson Forest High School. One is involved in the school's athletic program, according to school spokesman Ryan Edwards.
"This student was able to attend a game this week and sit on the bench but was not able to participate," Edwards said.
Last week, officials in Roanoke County said that one student at Northside High School was being treated for the skin condition, commonly known as MRSA.
