IF THE Bourne Ultimatum is the action thriller of the year, here's the cerebral equivalent.
Directed by the writer behind the Matt Damon trilogy, Michael Clayton's story is sufficiently complex to make it impossible to second guess.
And this Insider-style exploration of corporate malpractice is so well made that its density is all part of the head-scratching fun.
George Clooney takes the title role and he might be an insurance investigator, a lawyer or a cop.
But he's definitely heavier than usual.
And on career-best form as a man who is never in control of his chaotic life.
