The first item on every story about Jason Francesco Schwartzman is that he comes from a creative family: His mother, Talia Shire, was Mrs. Rocky in that Sly Stallone franchise; his uncle is Francis Ford Coppola; and his cousin Sofia Coppola has had a hand in Schwartzman's career, most recently by casting him as Louis XVI in her movie Marie Antoinette.
Less well known is that Schwartzman used to be a drummer for the band Phantom Planet, whose "California" was the theme song for The O.C.; and that he has a French bulldog, Arrow, who is the sibling to the dogs of writer-director Mike White.
