New wastewater treatment plant goes with the flow.

Sep. 27--WAYNE TWP. -- In the office at Ellwood City's new wastewater treatment plant, superintendent Rhonda Zellhart has added a personal touch -- a rock garden composed of rocks from the plant's construction site.

Zellhart, who has kept a scrapbook of the new treatment plant's construction, isn't quite moved into her new office. But her work there has begun. On Tuesday, the plant began handling wastewater. The new plant, with a greater capacity than the old facility, will help the borough treat sewage, even during heavy rains like those that hit the area last month.
