Sep. 28--MILWAUKEE -- When Ned Yost was informed Thursday that noted animal lover and St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa swore on all his animals that Cardinals right-hander Brad Thompson did not intentionally throw at Milwaukee first baseman Prince Fielder in the second inning of Wednesday's night game, the Brewers manager smiled.
"I feel sorry for his animals," Yost said, drawing chuckles from the reporters gathered around him for his daily pregame interview.
