China wants state-sponsored students abroad to work at home

Beijing, Sept 28 (PTI) China today issued a stern warning to government-sponsored students studying abroad to return in time and "serve the homeland for at least two years" or face penalties.

Chinese students who were sent abroad to study by the government must "serve the homeland for at least two years", or else they must "pay back their tuition fees and expenditure originally paid by the government," the Ministry of Education said.
