PUBLIC Works and Transport MEC Marius Fransman is confident the province and city will reach agreement on a single public transport authority.
The city had withdrawn from talks to establish a public transport operating entity.
Fransman's confidence follows Transport Minister Jeff Radebe's statement in the national assembly that he had not been informed about the abandonment of the entity in the Western Cape, although he had sent a team under his director-general to the city to ensure provinces worked according to plan.
