Sep. 29--ALBANY -- As so often happens, party bosses struck a last-minute deal Friday, giving three incumbent judges cross-endorsements from Republicans as well as their own Democratic nomination.
That means in the November general election, state Supreme Court Justices Joseph C. Teresi of Albany County, George B. Ceresia of Rensselaer County and Christopher E. Cahill of Ulster County will not only run as Democrats but also on the Republican line, almost assuring them of new 14-year terms in a job that carries a $136,700 salary.
