'It needs it': Louisiana Lagniappe closes until March for renovation.

Sep. 29--After 23 years in operation, Louisiana Lagniappe is scheduled for a makeover.

The Destin waterfront restaurant owned by the Southern Restaurant Group will serve its last meal Sunday before it closes its doors for a fourmonth renovation.

"It needs it," said John Comer, CEO of Southern Restaurant Group.

"When the demo team is through, there will be nothing left but a shell," said restaurant manager Trey Horton.

Prior to the restaurant's opening in 1984, the building was used as a club house for Sandpiper Cove. During the transition into Louisiana Lagniappe, no major changes were made.
