Structural Changes and a Strong Recovery

Southern California's economy has begun a substantial recovery while dramatically shifting away from its dependency on defense and aerospace, according to a study released by the Center for the New West, an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit policy-research institute with offices in Ontario, CA and Denver.

The study, titled "The Next Act: Southern California's New Economy," was written by Joel Kotkin, a Los Angeles-based senior fellow with the Center for the New West.
