Sep. 30--RANSOMVILLE -- The Town of Porter is holding its fourth annual Cabbage Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today on the grounds of the Ransomville Fire Company on Route 93, near Ransomville Road. A highlight of the event is the Cabbage Leaf Costume Show at 4 p.m.
"The costume show was the hit of last year's festival," said Sandy Hays Mies, president of the Lower Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce. "Contestants were incredibly creative."
