Sep. 30--Joan Fitzgerald has a strong affinity for the historic H.H. Richardson Complex on Forest Avenue.
"It should be maintained as the architectural treasure that it is," says Fitzgerald, who has won nearly a dozen national and international prizes for her artwork, which includes abstract acrylic paintings.
"Because of its proximity to the new Burchfield-Penney Art Center being built, the entire corner area would be an attractive destination. People could walk to the Art Center, Buffalo State College and the Albright- Knox. Sculpture gardens could be incorporated," she said.
