Sep. 30--Lindsay Lucas of Taravella is healthy again and it showed at the 25th annual Spanish River Cross Country Invitational on Saturday at South County Regional Park.
The senior won the girls' 4A race and 3A-4A overall title in a season-best 20 minutes and 12 seconds for 3.1 miles. It was the fourth-fastest time among the 53-team meet and fastest among 3A-4A runners.
"I pulled my right hamstring this summer, and I was out for about three months doing rehab with swimming and stationary biking," Lucas said. "It feels great now. It was a nice test for me today."
