LIME ROCK, Conn., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The New World Power Corporation (Nasdaq-NNM: NWPC) announced that New World Village Power Company, a wholly owned subsidiary, has signed an exclusive agreement with the local government of St. George, Alaska, to develop a wind/diesel electric generating system. The New World owned-and- operated project is intended to replace the existing municipal power plant and provide all electric generation for the island through a power purchase agreement with the municipal utility.
