Sep. 28--When a friend told Bill French that a West Knoxville restaurant might be for sale, the 58-year-old Philadelphia resident jumped at the chance to move back South.
French bought Charlie Pepper's across from West Town Mall in June and has spent the last few weeks transforming the eatery into Dan McGrew's, an Alaskan Wild Life Refuge.
Just as Outback Steakhouse has a strong Australian theme, Dan McGrew's will have one that's reminiscent of Alaska.
