Lewis County General Hospital looks for new CEO.

Oct. 1--LOWVILLE -- Lewis County General Hospital officials are hoping to have an interim administrator soon and a permanent one by April.

Hospital managers are considering an in-house candidate to replace Chief Executive Officer Mark J. Rappaport on an interim basis, Legislator Michael A. Tabolt, R-Croghan, chairman of the legislative Hospital Committee, told his fellow legislators during a special meeting Thursday.

However, a salary range must be in place before officials can offer anyone the interim spot, said Mr. Tabolt, also a member of the county-owned hospital's board of managers.
