Miami, Fla. -- When his long, hot day was over, Gophers football coach Tim Brewster stood outside his locker room and asked for more heat.
Red-faced from the scorching sun, Brewster accepted total blame and responsibility for all that went wrong in his team's 42-39 loss to Florida Atlantic before an announced crowd of 10,759 at Dolphin Stadium.
And make no mistake: A lot went wrong. From the seven turnovers to the porous pass defense to the train wreck of a first half, it was a meltdown performance that looked marginally better thanks to a hard-charging comeback.
