Oct. 1--FRISCO -- September came to an end -- in a strange way.
FC Dallas said goodbye to a dreadful month with a 3-0 kick-in-the-chest loss against Houston on Sunday at Pizza Hut Park, ending any realistic chance of winning the Western Conference.
With one win in September, Dallas trails first-place Houston and Chivas USA by eight points with three games remaining.
"We changed the way we were playing tactically, and that hurt us," said FC Dallas goalkeeper Dario Sala. "It's clear, we changed and it's not working out."
