Rock 'n' roll revival store turns old album covers into new merchandise.

Oct. 1--Dan Redmond and Jeff Wagner have heard a lot of descriptions of their new store at Castleton Square Mall. "Copycat" isn't one of them.

In contrast to mainstream chain stores, Rockcycle is an original.

Rockcycle uses a proprietary process to transform iconic album covers and the vinyl discs inside into non-audio products such as purses, notebooks and magnets. Stains and other wear and tear are prevented by sealing the covers inside a clear laminate.

"There is a lot of great album art that's going to waste due to the digital age, and we're recycling that art and keeping it out in circulation," said Nancy Wagner, Jeff's spouse.
