Oct. 1--La Crosse police officers issued more than 50 drinking related citations during the opening weekend of the city's Oktoberfest celebration.
About half the tickets were issued to minors drinking underage, while about 10 festgoers received public intoxication warnings and about another 10 were cited for drinking in public, according to police reports.
Other tickets included possession of false identification, public urination, being in Riverside Park after hours, drunken driving and loud music. Several intoxicated people ...
