TAYCO DEVELOPMENTS, INC. NET INCOME UP; COMPANY ACCELERATING RESEARCH ON EXPLOSION AND EARTHQUAKE SHOCK ABSORBERS

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y., May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Tayco Developments, Inc. (Nasdaq: TYCO) reported a small sales decline in the third quarter and nine months periods compared to the year-ago results. But net income in both periods rose substantially, thanks to greater revenues from equity in net income of affiliate Taylor Devices Inc. (Nasdaq: TAYD). Tayco's net income was $48,722 for the 3rd quarter versus $37,824 in the previous year, and the nine months net income of $151,144 compared to $94,788 reported in 1994.
