Investors are seeing lots of opportunities in infrastructure, according to Fortune, as Congress and state and local governments allocate billions of dollars for the repair, renovation, and construction of bridges, roads, mass transit systems, and power grids.
That means the promise of profits for the engineering, construction, and manufacturing companies that win these contracts.
"The need, the money, and the political will to take action are all in place right now," said Jim Trozze, the founder of the research firm Coppell Financial. "And that should create a large number of orders for the next several years."
