TOKYO, Oct 2 Asia Pulse - The upcoming listing of Sony Financial Holdings Inc. (TSE:8729) on Oct. 11 has boosted investor interest in initial public offerings. Whether that will translate into stronger market debuts this year remains to be seen.
How the debut of the Sony Corp. (TSE:6758) financial unit fares is important to many investors as a touchstone for the wider IPO market, which has generally been sluggish. At more than 300 billion yen (US$2.6 billion), the IPO is expected to be the biggest this year.
