DALLAS, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- On October 7th, the world's finest competitive speed-eaters will gather at the State Fair of Texas for the Waffle House World Waffle Eating Championship. Top-ranked Joey Chestnut, who upset Takeru Kobayashi at the 2007 4th of July hot dog eating contest by downing an astounding 66 hot dogs in 12 minutes, will take on a star-studded field of professional eaters, most notably 3rd-ranked Pat "Deep Dish" Bertoletti of Chicago, a dessert specialist who recently beat Chestnut by a half-pound in a pork rib eating contest.
