Oct. 1--While the world is now facing liquidity problems triggered by the US sub-prime crisis, Asia will continue to boom and attract foreign inflows over the next two years, said Sam Liddle, director of fund management at UK-based MitonOptimal Asset Management.
"The money is going to Asia as real opportunities are here. But we have much less cash than the previous boom in 2003 and the channel of opportunities will be narrow," he said in Bangkok late last week, adding that the booming areas are Asian equities and properties.
Asia, led by China, has had strong growth in the past few years and the trend will continue.
