Oct. 2--The Bulls begin practices at the Berto Center on Tuesday, and taking care of their "home courts" remains a priority this season.

Chicago was not exactly a safe haven for NBA veterans Antoine Walker and Eddy Curry over the summer. Walker, a Chicago native from Mt. Carmel High School and now a key member of the Miami Heat, was restrained with duct tape and robbed at gunpoint by masked home invaders in July. Weeks later, Curry, a former Thornwood High School star and current Knicks standout, similarly was robbed of cash and jewelry at his home in Burr Ridge.
