EDITORIAL: 'America Alone' may send chills down your spine.(Editorial)

Oct. 2--The Odessa American's page one headline last Thursday read "U.S. House denounces Iran." Upon reading The Associated Press story, Poor William learned that U.S. representatives, with both Republicans and Democrats surprisingly agreeing, had their fill of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's mouthings and voted 397-16 to "tighten sanctions" against his government.

Sanctions seldom work, they only hurt the "little people," but it was nice to see the congresspersons at least trying to do something. Over in the U.S. Senate, a nonbinding resolution was proposed to label Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a "terrorist group."
