Oct. 2--The company that owns The Fayetteville Observer has bought two classified-advertising publications based in Asheville and Greenville, S.C.

Fayetteville Publishing Co. purchased the assets of Iwanna Inc. and Iwanna of South Carolina Inc. from Katherine Corn, the companies announced Monday.

No terms were disclosed. The companies are privately held.

The Iwanna publications are distributed weekly and sold in stores. The Asheville edition sells for $1.25; the Greenville edition costs $1. The two papers are distributed in about 30 counties in western North Carolina, upstate South Carolina and northern Georgia. The company's Web site is ...
