Jacksonville shuts out White Oak.

Oct. 2--The Jacksonville High boys soccer team needed something to help put the last three weeks in the past.

Since September 10, the Cardinals had won just two of six games, going 2-3-1 to open Mideastern 3-A/4-A Conference play. They hope to have righted the ship Monday after a 3-0 victory over host White Oak in a classic matchup in the cross-town rivalry.

"I think we're starting to turn the corner," JHS head coach Dave Miller said. "We've started to play a little better."
