Oct. 2--Prostitution-related charges against a man who was scheduled for trial Monday were dismissed by the Johnson County District Attorney's Office.
Peng Zhang, 43, was charged in May with promoting prostitution at Lily Massage, 10220 W. 87th St. in Overland Park. According to court documents, Zhang participated in, managed, maintained or owned the "house of prostitution."
The dismissal for the misdemeanor charge was ordered Sept. 21.
Brian Burgess, a district attorney spokesman, said the case was dismissed because the office didn't want to move forward with the case it had.
