Oct. 2--Allison Forristal left no doubt Monday about who the top girls golfer is in the Sunflower League.
The Olathe East sophomore won the Shawnee Mission South Invitational by six strokes at Meadowbrook Country Club, firing a 4-over 76 and lapping the field.
The dominating performance also netted Forristal her first individual league championship by seven strokes over runner-up SM East's Catherine Ward, who finished third overall at Monday's tournament.
Forristal missed one of the league tournaments last season and wasn't eligible for any Sunflower League honors.
