Eli Lilly, GE team up on cancer therapy research.

Oct. 2--Drug maker Eli Lilly and Co. is teaming with General Electric to try to predict how cancer drugs will work in certain patients.

The goal is to develop a set of research tools to help show how cancers respond to targeted therapies as part of a growing movement known as personalized medicine.

Indianapolis-based Lilly signed a three-year research agreement with GE's Global Research unit, the two companies said Monday.
