Proposed development's opponents gather 1,100 names on petition.

Oct. 1--Neighbors opposed to a proposed $1 billion mixed-use complex in DeKalb County have spent hours campaigning for their cause outside local supermarkets, coffee houses and even Adams Stadium during high school football games.

Tonight, for at least a few minutes, they can show off the fruits of that labor when they hand over a 1,100-signature petition asking the DeKalb County school board not to sell property to the project's developer.
