Oct. 2--Frank Montao, president of the Santa Fe school board, suffered a heart attack early Monday morning and was in the coronary care unit at St. Vincent Regional Medical Center on Mondayevening.
The heart attack happened around 5 a.m., according to board member Mary Ellen Gonzales, who spoke with Montao.
Gonzales said Montao was taken to the medical center by ambulance, where he underwent an angioplasty.
Gonzales said she didn't think Montao had previous heart problems. Montao told her he was feeling much better Monday evening, and hospital staff was taking good care of him.
