Don't live near the water?

Not a problem. These herons are made of fiberglass and are intended to raise awareness of the arts in La Crosse.

The Pump House Regional Arts Center announced today a public arts project similar to the Cows of Chicago. Called The Herons of La Crosse, the project will disperse at least 20 fiberglass herons to sites around La Crosse. The 6-foot-tall herons will be painted or otherwise decorated and designed by local artists who will receive a $400 stipend for their efforts. ...
