Dengue, a mosquitoborne disease common in tropical regions of the world, is a growing concern along the Texas-Mexico border, according to a recent study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
According to a study in the Aug. 9 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, summer 2005 marked the beginning of a dengue outbreak that spread from the Mexican northern state of Tamaulipas to the Texas-Mexico sister city communities of Brownsville and Matamoros.
