Oct. 2--Just days before presenting his startup at a natural products trade show, White Wave founder Steve Demos sported something he hasn't had for 40 years -- a bare upper lip.
"There's always room for change," said Demos, noting the absence of his signature mustache and arrival of his new venture: NextFoods, a company founded to create and market foods that have scientifically proven nutritional benefits.
NextFoods is the first company Demos has started since he founded tofu company White Wave Inc., which was successful during its first 20 years, but saw its growth skyrocket after the introduction of Silk soy milk in 1996.
