Slots license investigation procedures get scrutiny.

Oct. 2--A former high-ranking state police official said Monday that the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board might not have had all the information it needed when it awarded casino licenses last December.

Retired Lt. Col. Ralph Periandi and members of the gaming board testified before the House Republican Policy Committee, which is exploring the working relationship between Pennsylvania State Police and the gaming board.

That relationship has come under scrutiny since it became public that a Dauphin County grand jury is looking into circumstances surrounding the issuance of a slot-machine license to Dunmore businessman Louis DeNaples.
