Tundra bolsters lineup13 new options set for 2008 models.

Oct. 3--Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. is adding 13 model variations to its Tundra truck lineup for 2008, hoping to offer more of what the buying public wants at both the lower and upper price ranges.

The auto manufacturer announced the expansion Tuesday, saying Tundra's 31 model variations are being expanded to 44 packages affecting all three cab styles.

The model expansion news came on top of Toyota's monthly sales report Tuesday that showed Tundra sales were up 55 percent compared with the same month last year. The company attributes the surge to the updated 2007 Tundra, which is a bigger, more powerful pickup than the 2006 model.
